Designing Professional Development Opportunities to Increase Faculty Engagement with OER
Faculty have seen first-hand the benefits of incorporating open educational resources and practices into their teaching. But often this work is being done by only a fraction of the faculty on a given campus. How do we introduce faculty to, and engage them in, the approaches and practices of Open Education? How are colleges rethinking OER faculty development following the pandemic to support faculty in this new landscape? In this session, representatives from centers for teaching & learning, as well as other faculty development groups, will offer strategies and tools to increase faculty interest in, and utilization of, open educational practices and resources.

The Transformative Power of OER/ZTC Pathways
OER/ZTC pathways have long been considered transformative because they have the power to improve educational access and increase educational opportunities for all student learners. In addition to reducing textbook costs, these pathways provide the opportunity for faculty to experiment with innovative and effective teaching practices. These pathways can also provide access and improve equity for students, regardless of background. This webinar will focus on credit and noncredit OER/ZTC pathways that have improved student success, equity, and completion.
Webinars are Wednesdays at noon PT/ 3 pm ET except where otherwise indicated
