Bookstores In The World Of Open

Shape Sep 14, 2022

Often in higher education, we hear that open education resource providers and college bookstores simply do not get along because of a perceived conflict of interest. Learn from two institutions about the process they underwent to engage and collaborate with their bookstore to provide students with affordable, accessible open materials. The benefits and challenges of this collaboration will also be shared. In addition, we will discuss findings from a DOERS3 survey and subsequent conversations with key constituent groups on enhancing the relationship between institutions and their bookstores.
